Glass container broken on your MZ 500? Find out which replacement part fits your model and what to do if it's discontinued.
The Rommelsbacher MZ 500 Multi Chopper was produced in two versions: production number 01 (F.01) and production number 02 (F.02). These two versions use different glass containers, so it is important to check your production number before ordering a replacement.
You can find your production number (F-Nr.) on the type plate of the appliance.
The glass containers for these versions are:
- KA2410, for production number 01
- KA2412, for production number 02
Following a product update, the glass container design was changed for production number 02. Because of this update, the container for production number 02 (KA2412) is not compatible with production number 01 appliances.
The original glass container for production number 01 (KA2410) is no longer available from the manufacturer and cannot be reordered.
What to do
- Check the F-Nr. on the type plate of your appliance to confirm your production version.
- If your appliance is production number 02 (F.02): the replacement glass container (KA2412) is available. Contact the authorized service center to order this part.
- If your appliance is production number 01 (F.01): unfortunately, a replacement glass container is no longer available. Since the part cannot be reordered, the only solution is to have the complete appliance exchanged.
For MZ 500 appliances with production number 02, a replacement glass container is available and can be ordered. For appliances with production number 01, the original glass container is discontinued, so a full appliance exchange is the only available solution.
